Fairy Garden

A wonderful friend of mine came up with the idea of building fairy gardens from things we found in nature. We each brought whatever we could find in parks and on the streets around us, we also brought a glue gun, clippers, glass jars, and some sheep wool and we started building. Here are a few of the gardens that came out of our creative endeavor.

NYC Toy Fair Interview

I was invited to do a needle felting demonstration at the Toy Fair in NYC. Needle felting is my new addiction. I make character illustrations first and then spend my evenings sculpting them out of wool.
I am also contemplating a way to incorporate my mushroom girls/gnome ladies into a book.

A friendly journalist from the online magazine TDMonthly came by and asked if he could do a quick interview. The sculptures are available on FeltForest.

Marzipan Madness

I love Marzipan, I love turquoise, red, and cream. My friend thought of me when she came across these marzipan creations by Design team Eugene & Louise in collaboration with Tinne Hermans for an exhibit in Antwerp, my home town.

Handmade Gifts 2

Upon his request, I made a needle felted woodpecker for my husband, John. I also made a house for the little bird. John has only seen pictures of his present, because we are out of town and I didn't bring it with me.
